I handed in my Bachelor Thesis. FINALLY. It took my way too long. Now on to making enough money to travel a bit. I'm going to Hamburg for 3 days in june.

Some sort of update

I just came back from the eye specialist and the drops aren't working, though at first she doubted I actually took them because "they work for everyone!!" but she doesn't want to change yet because the other options "really aren't as good or as affective".

It made me feel so scared and shitty. I didn't go to the concert I had tickets to today, Haim and Phoenix, because I thought it would be better to go home in a state like this. I slept for 4 hours, I played football, got the test (and the horrible eye drops), it's still 20. And she said it needs to go down until my next appointment on the 10th or we'll have to rethink this.

And she asked if I was stressed. Haha. :(

Just a head-ups. I do have glaucoma. 80% of my right eye nerve is gone, about 50% of my left. I take the eye drops now but we don't know if they'll work. My eyes hurt A LOT lately.

And I'm still trying to write the BA thesis even though it's hard, both mentally (because I think how futile all this shit feels when I'm so scared of going blind) and physically, because starting at a screen and sitting around always makes the pain worse.

As I was procrastinating I found myself reading Doris Lessings' Nobel price acceptance speech. It's a pretty great speech about how white and rich and male and european literature and these literature prizes are, but there was one part that made me gulp because it just caught me in the act

What has happened to us is an amazing invention -- computers and the internet and TV. It is a revolution. This is not the first revolution the human race has dealt with. The printing revolution, which did not take place in a matter of a few decades, but took much longer, transformed our minds and ways of thinking. A foolhardy lot, we accepted it all, as we always do, never asked, What is going to happen to us now, with this invention of print? In the same way, we never thought to ask, How will our lives, our way of thinking, be changed by this internet, which has seduced a whole generation with its inanities so that even quite reasonable people will confess that once they are hooked, it is hard to cut free, and they may find a whole day has passed in blogging etc.

I want to give these kind of speeches when I'm in my 80s...

Im so in love with this song & version from the show Nashville. It makes me so jealous.

I am going to take a singing lesson in 2 weeks and the moment I sent off the email to the teacher I started panicking. I'm so shy and scared it's really ridiculous...

yeah, going to the gym after work is NOT going to happen.

i was there from 9 to 6.15 and then it took me an hour home. The air there was so bad I, again, almost fainted. fuck this shit. i will have to do this for two month and write my 60 pages on the weekend.

it also was very demanding and boring at the same time. :(

The 4 exams are over. Still waiting for the results of two of these. For the group thing we got a 1.7 (1.0 is the best, then it goes 1.3, 1.7, 2.0 up to 4) and we were a bit dissapointed. I hate group work. For the oral Norwegian exam I got a 1.3. I thought it would be much worse even after the exam because she said my active vocabulary was only B1 and way below my grammer and fluency. I said I was just so nervous that I didnt think of all the fancy words I studied the whole time. So that was a nice surprise to still get a really good mark.

Tomorrow the new work situation thing starts (i get payed 1200 euros for two months but I also need to do it for university) and I need to write 3 course works in the same (less than) two months. I also need to figure out if I can start working half an hour late on monday so I can go to my therapy, otherwise I cant have therapy which would suck a lot. Also I need to tell them I can't go to work on the first monday at all because I also got another's doctor's appointment. I hate having to say such things. It makes me feel so dumb.

Basically the next 7 weeks will be:

Monday to friday:
7: wake up & eat breakfast, take lunch with me
9-17: work
rest of the day:  hopefully going to the gym & work on my university papers but I predict I will be so tired I cant do anything. Oh and: prepare dinner & lunch for the next day
saturday: 9.30-14 book store work,
sunday: really getting a lot of university writing done...

BUT I realized I cant get into the library to get university books for the 50 pages (in total) I need to write. The library is closed after work.

Lukas is gone for the next weeks, too. I already miss him (he left yesterday) but maybe it will help my productivity. It will, unless it depresses me too much.

Also: I coughed up blood today. There's a blood stain on my jacket now. I have no idea what the hell was going on there.
